I like how one-dimensional characters can feel so symbolic.. like grumpy bear to me symbolizes that you can be having a bad time and stuff but still belong among the others and as a kid seeing him helped me feel like my negative emotions weren't taboo

How come when a real person is crying no one cares? But when a CARTOON character is crying suddenly it's the end of the world? and like people are willing to spend time draw entire "correction" arts about it just to make the cartoon happy again.. But then real ppl who cry get ignored ?
