A cool trick to do if you're trying to wreck someone's life is to shout a bunch of stuff involving them and someone else known for incidents that wreck people's lives, not JUST because it's a direct smear, but it can bait the target into saying stuff that'll get them on that other person's radar.

This is why I wish it were easier to impart to people that if you're going to give any credence to any sort of smack-talking gossip, they MUST do the basic due diligence of looking up the person someone's claiming is saying awful things and look at the things they're actually saying. It's real easy
