The second dragon, this time on a fragment of 80s cross stitch Dimension kit called 'A Taste of the Southwest' (Miami Vice pastels!). I found 2 of these fully stitched at Goodwill, have seen others.
Aiii, you're right. Alabama, which somehow makes it even funnier & bad PR for the cops.

This is absurdly bad PR. These are the images that need amplified. If you're online, think strategically about which images need to go viral to tell the story of the horrors of this moment. RT and share the shit out of them.
I am really really beginning to understand Sam Vimes' infamous ancestor.

I scout thrift stores for donated embroidery. It's often unfinished, stories cut short or abandoned.

I can do things with these pieces.
Just me, embroidering a dragon into someone else's Sonoran Desert cross stitch.
People wondering about the fiber crafts overlap with political protest & feminine cunning have obviously never read Homer & understood Penelope's very sneaky weaving.
AZ. Not much better. I'd rather be with New Mexico.

Yes yes yes
One of the most TRUE signs I have ever seen at a march. Write this down and act upon it, friends.

I do not want to be in a state with fucking Idaho.
My most retvrn opinion is that the American government was built for thirteen states and to thirteen states it should retvrn
Doesn't look good for the three police trying to handcuff a penis in Alaska.

I am telling you EVERYONE in Alabama is texting about the 3 cops in Fairhope tackling the woman in the enormous inflatable dick costume. EVERYONE.
Why do they always look like 1990s sex dolls.

This post is funny, but it just shows a fundamental misunderstanding of the history of feminine labor and craft.

Spinsters dismantled the Spinning Jenny by hand. Suffragettes used acid and bombs to attack politicians. Militant textile workers went on strike by the tens of thousands.
The Venn Diagram of protestors today who would count as hardcore antifa that are ready to take up arms for the revolution and people whose primary hobby is quilting would be interesting to see.
Well, MAGA in a nutshell.
Very normal thing for a president to post
Trump posts AI video showing him literally dumping shit on America
'No Kings' is a foundational part of the US.
If nothing else, we've forced them to be explicit about what they want.
Trump responds to No Kings by posting video depicting him as a king

If you can't protest, there are other ways to get involved.

Phonebanks need volunteers. There are post card campaigns that need help too.

I say this because I don't want anyone to feel left out or left behind.

Community action boosts mood & strengthens your social links. S-rank those contacts!
I was (quietly) up at a #NoKings rally near me. In a kind of disguise, because I know some badfolks who are looking for me. It was peaceful and inspiring.
'Exception', since I can't type tonight.

Anyway, these are a score.

I don't buy many shoes at thrift stores. Too problematic, from cleanliness to wear defects. But these Y2K minimalist Privo mules from Clarke's are an expection. Very little wear. Kept in good storage: these 25+ year-old shoes have buttery soft leather uppers and intact vinyl/rubber soles.
TRUTH. In the US, this is workplace reality.

Coworkers are watching to see a weak moment from you, & leverage it against you. Bosses are pushed & pulled from above & below; if you stand out, you will be too.

And HR is not there *for* you.
This is a reminder that coworkers are not your friends. Bosses are not your friends. And if you disagree with that, then can we at least agree that HR IS NEVER YOUR FRIEND. Thank you.
Since you probably won't see these on the evening news, repost widely.
