On the one hand, yes, demand answers as to why this happened. But release him now independent of the answer — there is no justification for this. No society that hasn’t hopelessly devolved past the point of return does this to kids. I don’t care whatever they can possibly cook up as an excuse.

The storage thing is the biggest question. There’s a bar in my neighborhood that bought one for Halloween a few years ago and realized that they just had to keep it up year round because there wasn’t anywhere to put it. My kids named it Cupcake
