Okay so I definitely just have a problem with the word “submit” because when I plug in the word “entrust” it sounds a lot better.
Language is important, especially in the way it could be perceived.
Some men will take submission as ownership and that’s where the disconnect lies with me.

I never understood the idea of “submitting” to your partner. I’m watching Jill Scott on Angie Martinez’s podcast and she spoke l submitting to her partner when she feels safe, considered, and affirmed. I just can’t imagine relinquishing power when we’re supposed to be equal.
