As a native southerner I know well this is who they have always been. But I also know it’s mostly a really unpopular ideology with most Americans and shoving it down their throats doesn’t make it more palatable. Bad tactics from bad people.

I’m not sure we’re mentally prepared for how bad whatever is in those files actually is. They are very clearly losing this shutdown battle and they don’t even seem to care. Why? Because whatever is in those files is self-immolating and they know it. It is, indeed, just a matter of time.
