🙏 Huge thanks to @EstherNg (lab's first postdoc!) for her incredible work, and to @bpfairfax.bsky.social‬ for a fantastic collaboration.
Working with open, brilliant scientists is always a joy — I learned so much about cancer immunology! 😊

🔍 As expected, the strongest trans-regulation of TCRs occurs in the MHC region.
What’s interesting 🤨 is that HLA-associated V genes were less stable across treatment. Notably, patients with HLA-regulated TCR clones showed improved overall survival.

🧬 In this study, we analysed the genetic regulation of CD8+ TCRs in 250 cancer patients, before and after ICB treatment.

📣First paper from the lab is out in @science.org‬! 📣https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/sciadv.adu3461 It’s well known that HLA shapes the TCR repertoire — but how does this change under immune checkpoint blockade (ICB)?
Defining the genetic determinants of CD8+ T cell receptor repertoire in the context of immune checkpoint blockade
Immune checkpoint blockade influences the genetically determined relationship between TCR repertoire and HLA alleles in cancer.
