Yep. And Biden funded killer cops, without any reform requirements, by doing a much better job than Trump of hiding the toll of Covid (which killed a minimum of 400 Americans every single week he was in office until his last month), and pushing Covid funds to those cops, as their killings increased.

Is there any evidence that the White House occupant who has illegally deported US citizens who challenge his policies does not support Israel's detention of those Americans?
y-o-y.bsky.social
Yeah, no kidding! Genocide Joe's parting gift to the Palestinian genocide was to send another $8 billion of lethal (and illegal) aid to Israel during his final days in office. But it was his zealous diversion of Covid aid funds to cops that first earned him the moniker, "Genocide Joe."

Here in Portland, the local police don't really care about plausible pretexts to declare "unlawful assemblies" (which, according to the actual city code, the police don't have the authority to declare) or riots. I have witnessed the mere presence of an inflatable pig being used as their pretext. 🙄

An 84-year-old couple who lives in the neighborhood surrounding the ICE building in Portland joined the protest because it was so obviously peaceful and proper they didn't expect any violence from the feds. Then they were hit in the head with a projectile fired at them, gassed, and knocked down...

This is what the protest yesterday was like. It was insane watching ICE charge at elderly, children, and everybody else when all we were doing was saying chants, most of us on the other side of the street from the facility.
Federal agents knock down elderly couple during Portland protest
An 84-year-old said she sustained a concussion and was hit with a projectile after she and her husband, a Vietnam vet, were knocked down by federal officers.

Goddamn, this is great. The part at the end — you’ll know it when you see it — made me laugh so hard that I startled the dogs.

This is literally what the actual "siege" of the auxiliary ICE building looks like

In the United States, there is a complex web of state and federal laws and regulations that severely limit who can legally capture and treat wild birds. And the Catch 22 of that system is that federal approval is necessary, but usually dependent upon state approval, and vice versa.

What's new is that this is not an election year, and Trump is not trying to win a legitimate election even years into the future. Thus, popular opinion will not serve as a brake on his fascist accelerationist efforts this time around. It's a stark fight or fall proposition, now. And libs won't fight

To be fair, the guy in the chicken suit is draping himself in the American flag. Perhaps the whole flag fondling chicken theme hit a little too close to home for Trump, and it has him scared.
Trump hugs and kisses an American flag as if its a porn star and he's paid it for a date

If only the ICE agents actually went home!

Look, PPB has been wearing black bloc for ages. What more proof do you need? /s

Yes, Jay, we are paying in-kind contributions to Bluesky with each and every post. If you don't think so, consider the valuation of Bluesky with zero posts from users versus with the participation that has been taking place daily.

Guess who could be selling you secondhand clothes if we were neighbors. (But, yeah, I just bought new slippers after wearing out my ten-year-old. Because fungus isn't something I want to help recycle.

Well, the alternative to accessible field offices is an accessible My Social Security website. But that started glitching a couple of hours ago and now it has completely crashed. Is this waste, fraud, or abuse? All three, perhaps?
y-o-y.bsky.social
The entire Social Security website has crashed, now. Earlier, there were reports that the DOGE dudes were at SSA's headquarters.
y-o-y.bsky.social
Why don't you try logging into the Social Security website and let us know what you see there?

Just the fact that things are f'd up enough for people to feel a need for wave after wave, generatiom after generation, of "feminism," whatever they think that is at the time, speaks to how ingrained the bigotry and bias are. Personally, I'm an anti-bigotrist, not a feminist.

Counterpoint: if liberals would enforce norms of human decency instead of normalizing the crime against humanity for which Nazi Germany remains infamous, perhaps they would not be getting cussed out by strangers before losing to elections to more brazen fascists.

Trump sent poorly trained DHS goons in unmarked vans to kidnap leftists in Portland the last time he was in office. City, county, state and federal officials in the area balked at that while antifa demonstrators fought his paramilitary forces and drove them out. I am not seeing that spirit, now.

And they'd do it because they believe that so long as they think Republicans are more evil than they are, no matter how evil Democrats become, the Democrats are automatically going to win without trying. Thus, they might as well sell that button. Despite losing two out of three not-Trump campaigns.
