Also maybe invest in a blood pressure kit and keep a record of the readings 3 times a day for when you got to the Dr's and when you have one of these attacks it could be blood pressure related, if you are stressed or simply have high blood pressure might be worth looking into as it can trigger both.

Sounds like a combo punch of migraine and cluster headaches, I get the same thing, if you are not on amitriptyline you can give it a try or speak to GP/ Dr for sumatriptan, amitriptyline is a preventative and sumatriptan will basically knock you out when you have one.
