Green thumb wearing, foul word swearing! Retired environmental engineer who worked to prevent pollution. Support democracy! No theocracy! No to Citizens United! No DMs. If your profile is naked, I won't be following back.
Take it one day at a time, one routine at a time. Ignore everyone, just like they're ignoring you. It's a gift you are giving future you.

It's hard to fail with sweet potatoes. I just love to roast them, slathered in butter and cinnamon

My SIL thinks I'm a miserable know-it-all (I just have a sticky brain for random facts, and in my family, it was expected that you would share such facts). SIL got in the habit of asking me obscure questions, just so she could roll her eyes. Now, I respond with "go look it up" like my grandma did.

You go, Mom. You have your priorities straight. Kids/family first, as long as you can feed and house yourselves. My kids both had mental health issues, and at the same time, my mom was in the depth of her alzheimer's. I made it through, and the kids are good. You and yours will be ok, too.

I also had adenomyosis. My hysterectomy was the happiest day of my life.
