old rimuru i traced with a mouse

My inspiration came from alf874. It's not as pretty as I'd hoped, but I'm proud! I loved my rendering, but it's quickly revealing my ignorance of anatomy. Funny how that works. I learned about eyes, water, subsurface scattering, and reflections.

I spent soo much time on this. I used a mannequin in ClipStudio. I learned a lot about glow, screen, multiply, textures, and other brushes. This was also my first time using the liquify tool!

I tried drawing from imagination. I was really proud of the posing. This was my first time painting a snake, and well, anything in the dark, really. I learned about the importance of midtones here. I used my hands and glasses for reference!

I tried drawing #Rimuru in the style of Lofi Girl. It's, uh, mediocre, yeah, but I was a proud of it! I used heavy references from anime stills. This was also my first time painting a moon.

This was my first piece of digital art! I was overjoyed, but it faded in retrospect for using landmarks and for not taking stronger creative liberties in the silhouette. The original pose is from Posenaniacs, and the face is referenced from an anime frame.
