Ann Cudd | President, PSU

Here's what people had to say about Ann:

"Ann Cudd threatened student safety on campus by calling in the Portland Police Bureau who brutalized student protesters. She also prioritizes real estate deals rather than affordable education at an access-institution."

The PBA wants you to think we — a grassroots membership org — have an outsized influence over local politics, but every statistical indicator says the opposite:

the Portland Business Alliance and their wealthy corporate members continue spend more money on politics than anyone else by a long shot!

This administration will not get away with its utter disrespect for adjunct faculty, students will ensure that. (7/7)

PSU-YDSA stands in solidarity with our adjunct faculty, and calls upon all other students at Portland State to take action in their fight for a fair contract and academic freedom. If you're a student at PSU, there are a couple of actions that you can take. (5/7)

This is no surprise. PSU's board of trustees are made up of people from the same class that brought Trump to power, weapons manufacturers and other types of capitalists. As a result, adjunct faculty have had to fight for every right they acquire, and they don't stand alone. (4/7)

PSU initially refused outright to bargain with the adjunct faculty over academic freedom, then later submitted proposals that would make academic freedom unenforceable. In practice they acted in lockstep with the Trump administration in their fight against democratic rights. (3/7)

On May 2nd, PSUFA entered into a bargaining session with the Portland State University administration, seeing the recent crackdowns on democratic rights and the weakness of their previous contract, they rightfully sought to strengthen their academic freedom article. (2/7)
