Me and my amazing wife a couple years ago came across another person looking at birds and we showed him a nesting hawk in the city park we were in. He thanked us and told us a place where the great egrets were nesting this time of year and we have been going back there every year since. Very magical

Over the past few years I've fallen in love with Anhingas. They're a non waterproof aquatic bird that when they're done fishing they have to perch somewhere and wait for their feathers to dry off. They're goofy birds but one of my favorites to watch do their thing.
