I personally feel like this is about profile. The players you mentioned all do different things to merino. I’m not saying it’ll be easy to find, but that combination of technical security and physicality is what we are now lacking and is something those players simply don’t possess

And if Kai gets injured (god forbid)? Or needs more ‘load management’? Huge opportunity for silverware this season so get the cover in (if only a loan). Negligent not to. The business end of the season is going to be spicy so why leave things to chance.

BRING BACK CHAMAKH. But honestly we’re gonna be alright. I have to believe it. This is a great group. Missing an attacking dimension or two though. Not seeing the relationships or combinations. I hear you. I think it’s a two way street. I think we all fear the league slipping away again, which explains tension/nerves. But I think we can do more to revel in the privilege of such a great side. But that also needs stoking by the club. Appreciate we pay good money & want to see a return now 🙏🏻

A few things can be true. It’s not on the fans. But the crowd were limp in my view (I was in it). But in the same breath, the club didn’t amp up the spice like they did pre-Spurs (appreciate that’s special fixture). Vibes/narratives matter. Anyway. We’re lucky to have this side. Enjoy the ride etc.

Dreadful take. How does taking the captaincy away from MØ play out? Terribly is the answer. We have a world class captain who is only to get better and better. We don’t know how good we’ve got it.
