I've never thought I would jump back into backend development with JVM ecosystem, but kotlin is actually pretty `fun` to work with.

Needed to jump into kotlin/java codebase, I can't believe how BAD the language support is in vscode. Don't get me wrong, I love intellij and the its siblings, I just feel sorry for java/kotlin developers being locked in and lack of good alternatives available.

The creator of Nuxt is joining Vercel. Next and Nuxt together? I'm not sure if it's a good idea. I just hope Vue won't be affected like React.

Maybe it is the time to pick Svelte up.

I don’t know what’s wrong with me, I somehow have started Dark Souls a few days ago, I’ve been suffering since. I, however, can’t stop and don’t want to stop. The satisfaction of the achievement is way over the pain of hours and hours’ failure.

I feel unease seeing jobs hiring developers to write code to train AI. It’s like a betrayal to our carbon-based species.

In order to use the expiring points, I ordered McDonald’s latte.

Huge mistake!

It’s so bad that makes just letting the points to expire is a better choice!

I bought the steamdeck to reduce my video game backlog because I heard people saying they actually finish games on it. But the brutal reality is my backlog has grown bigger than ever. And worse, my progression on board games has stopped 😩

But hey, at least I've finished the 16-hour Spider-man game😉

Switching to nix. It’s so different from traditional package managers, I still feel I don’t know what I’m doing after trying to learn it for a whole day

Oracle cloud free tier seems to be a much better choice over other *cheap* VPS providers.

Rewatching real steel with my daughters. They were against it at the beginning, and I told them to just stick with it for 15 minutes. Now we’re at the end of the credits and they’re waiting for the post-credits show despite I’ve already told them there is none 😂

OMG, Balatro is so addictive. I just got started and planned to just finish the tutorial tonight. But when I actually put my deck down, an hour had already passed😱

Doing research on UI kits for a new react native app; but it seems the benefits a kit brings to native app isn’t that big compare to web.

I’ll start with `StyleSheet.create` and see how it scales.

Tailscale makes VPN piece of 🍰

I don’t see any reason you shouldn’t get yourself a $5 VPS, install tailscale on it, and make your internet surfing safe and sound.
