I am not sure if this is a certain or likely outcome, but that's the operating mindset I've been viewing the Republicans now. They are not worried about ever facing a meaningful election again.

I mean I think its consolidating power, de facto outlaw opposition parties and suppress anyone who would vote for them anyways that it becomes impossible to elect someone who would even do that.

Its a minor hiccup that comes with any new technology, if we could get just maybe 4 to 6 billion more dollars, we could make sure this happens 50% less of the time

I go back and forth between thinking that it's all an intentional plan to cripple us for some reason, or that they understand so little about the world that they assume America's power and technological prosperity is just a given fact of life, as natural as gravity, that they can just fuck with shit

sometimes I feel like I am starting to get sort of knowledgeable about computers and feel confident, then I read a word combo like "parser combinator for hl 7 2.x" and realise that actually i am the computer baby.

I do IT, and a lot of tickets at my job are someone saying they can't do something they used to be able to do in Outlook, we find theyre using new, and after googling we find 4 year old forums and reddit threads begging Microsoft to please add the basic feature that used to be in classic, unanswered
