I feel for all of the Don't Nod developers and other key Life Is Strange figures who brought the first game to life.

They saw Max Caulfield's legacy get dragged through the mud. It's now Chloe Price's turn.

Talk about making a pig's dinner of this entire franchise.

You play with fire, you get burned. And well and truly that inferno is fitting to destroy the location that put Square Enix and Deck Nine into this mess.

Square Enix well and truly lost the importance of those powerful endings from Don't Nod's Life Is Strange through Life Is Strange: Double Exposure.

I have no doubt the damage will become even worse with Life is Strange: Reunion, removing all sense of player agency.

Ah idk if I agree with the "both path felt complete" statement when it comes to Double Exposure.
Both paths felt complete at the end of the first game, then they decided to extend that way beyond what was necessary, and ended up screwing over half of the community with that "they grew apart" reason

Idk, especially after all the layoffs and stuff from D9, I just don't see where they would have the man power to put out another game so soon.
Unless it was being worked on at the same time as DE, and it has a smaller scope? Like DLC sized?

I don't doubt there's a LiS game in the works, and it might as well be exactly what was published in all the rating sites, but I highly doubt that this game releases anytime this year. Maybe next year?

I don't think they had a choice per say. It was either this, or ignore double exposure ever existed, and go with new characters again.
SE really wants to capture lightning in a bottle again, so doubling down on Max and Chloe it is 😅
