I'm not as hot on season 2 of K-On, but that scene is etched into my soul.

What got me a little shaken this time though, is how quickly and brazenly they just lied.

The playbook used to be delay, deflect, distract. This time, within hours, leaders of this country told us he is a hero actually, and the matter is closed.

The Summer Hikaru Died - A genuinely disturbing and visually striking horror that's also a love story between two loners exploring themselves and each other. TSHD is a rare horror gem in anime.

From Bureaucrat to Villainess: Dad's Been Reincarnated! - Often clever and always wholesome, Villainess:Dad is a very entertaining breath of fresh air to a genre that's dangerously close to oversaturation. Sasuga Grace-sama, indeed.

Ranma1/2 Season 2 - After last year's season, the remake of Ranma1/2 continues to be excellent. It's faithful to the source materials with a clean art style and beautiful animation, while adding certain elements and lines that make it even more endearing.

To Be Hero X - A beautiful blend of 2D and 3D, TBHX takes its time to tell origin stories of its heroes that all weave together at the end, with incredible action scenes throughout.

Anne Shirley - An all-time classic, beautifully modernized. Anne's relentless positivity and confidence through life's ups and downs make even the typical mundane affairs seem magical.
