Judging by the age of the DAF tractor unit in the photo this installation at Wallingford looks to be much older than the one in Crewkerne, which dates to when the store opened in 2008.
I didn’t realise Waitrose had at least 2 other turntables!

Waitrose in Crewkerne has one for HGV deliveries, so that the lorries can drive forward into and out of a narrow parking bay accessed via a busy service road.

Jack’s key phrase is ‘tacit cooperation.’ Voters resent being presented with a stitch-up by party strategists by being denied choice at election time. It’s far better for a party to conduct low-level campaigning in wards they can’t win rather than pull a candidate off the ballot paper. Trust voters!

Tree-planting tip, Sarah: keep fine roots damp and don’t expose them to air and light until the last possible moment before planting. Dried-out roots = dead trees = wasted money & effort.
