Fascinating experience during #snowbird #travel in #Turkey was exploring the Underground City of #Saratlı Kırkgöz, near #Cappadocia. #Flintstones cave-like homes. 36 known subterranean cities in the region, some extend up to eight stories deep and span as much as eight kilometers.

We thoroughly enjoyed the many fantastic stone sculptures and 3D reliefs, located in the outer edge of an old rock quarry in #Osuna, #Spain, during this years #Snowbird excursion to the inland mountain parts of #Costadelsol.

Cala #Mijas for #UK expats has all the essentials for vacation in #Spain. A “watchtower” for 1500’s emergency communication alerting villages of pirate invasions. Clean, modern feel with blend of cultures, Moorish influences and some artsy vibes. More English here than some other #CostadelSol towns.
