All the great humanitarian awards are from sports. I remember FDR winning the prestigious "Beach Volleyball Man of Vision and Peace" award in 1942 and the "National Bowlers Award for Nuclear Physics" in '43.

How do Trump fans feel about this type of political targeting? I can get behind some reforms or cost cuts but cutting based on a state party outcome is absurd. Those Blue-Red maps are a damaging image - lotsa minority voters in each state folks. Its like painting the country Blue when Biden won.

Depends what meaning you are looking for - doesn’t change the targeted country, for most it doesn’t change the validity of the action. Anyway - not my hill to die on.

I 100% agree that "in" is not precise, nor correct, particularly given that the U.S. may hit "land" targets - I just don't think the meaning of the post changes if a more correct preposition is/was used.

I don't know. The U.S. is targeting Venezuela through what they define as Venezuelan boats (though they aren't seeking much in the way of evidence) and it seems nitpicky to argue the preposition "in" vs "near" as opposed to support/opposition to the declaration or the events

Would you not consider a boat of Americans on the Atlantic or Pacific coast to be “in America” if another country sunk them?

If the turkey had bigger breasts it would be appointed to the Department of Justice.

Troops in the streets in the U.S., blowing up boats in off Venezuela - both are sketchy enough to make the topic legitimate.

Why is this a surprise? If someone can help Trump personally, they are good to go, regardless of any issues/concerns/criminal activities. MTG is finding out the corollary- any ally is only good until they are not.

I’d say “yes” but only as a way to show the differences between religion and science as modes of thought and proof requirements. Not as an academic subject itself though, unless part of a religion class.

Trump is really just letting aggressors complete their aggressions and then "stopping" them. Looking at Gaza, there is a lot of rubble left, not much for Israel to bomb by the time Trump "stopped" it. When Putin wants a ceasefire to re-stock, Trump will take credit.

Sell, hock, peddle, trade

homonyms for words meaning "sell"?

You are 100% correct. I believe the GOP (at least the MAGA wing) are confident in their (mis)information channels that they won't be targeted with any blame.

Trump waited until Netanyahu finished reducing Gaza to rubble and then “negotiated”. Putin isn’t done attacking Ukraine so Trump will wait until Putin needs a break (“ceasefire”) or is done (“Peace Deal”). In neither Gaza nor Ukraine has Trump acted in any way other than to reward aggression

Not sure who can fix it but a lot of Tigers problems down the stretch seemed to be each player trying to hit six-run homers to put the team back on track. Player leadership? Coach(es)? First half they trusted the team to knock them in after a walk or single… disciplined hitting. Last half - nope

Not the first time ever - must have been some ancient windmill generating power to grind wheat before coal was mined for electricity

Considering where he is standing an looking, it was an odd error to have made. (as a Tiger's fan, I was hoping for the out, but replay was crystal clear).
