Someone gets murdered, and in the novel, apparently in the novel they just rotted under the floor boards of the couple's house, never to be acknowledged again, but the show has plans to do something with it, tho I don't recall what.

There school play is a musical, and one of the teenage boys who wanted to be cast as the male lead gets cast as the (typically) female antagonist instead, and is thrilled about it.

The opening to this tunnel is very sphincter like that peals back when they approach and closes tight when they leave. The walls ooze, but they only respond with mild disgust. A very casual 'ugh, I hate driving through this tunnel.'

But it opens with this gay couple moving to a small, where one of the men is working at a local HS and putting a theater production there. And on the way to and back from work they have to drive through this strange tunnel with esophagus like walls.

Ultimately doesn't matter since it's a just for fun thing, but welp, I'm stepping outside of my comfort zone with genre and do like hearing perspectives on approaches.

But my concern is that seeing two characters you don't know well hook-up is not the best sell.

The other approach is 'show a day in the life of one of them before sliding into the first encounter,' but I really like the vibe of 'glamour shattering into dull reality come morning light' as an opener

My current thought is to start with a first encounter between the two leads where we see them flirting and settling into roles, but don't quite see their damage yet, and then introduce their lives outside of each other, before slowly peeling back the damage.

Okay, official plan, since I have to do my 'pre-vacation deep cleaning' and also have an international flight coming up: time to download a bunch of fics to keep me from going mad on an airplane.
