lol no. LMU has not updated their moodle feature set since I am there. Not at least visibly. And they run a way more careful way in terms of AI deployment. I got a deputy professorship as well at h_da.

yes. That's we we get it pre-installed and pre-enabled in everything. Because people do not want that. And Big Tech is forcefully deploying it. Not because it is good, but because they had brobdingnagian investments and it somehow needs eventually to pay off. Investments that still have no product

Einzig ONleihe geht mit KOreader nicht so komfortabel. Das nutze ich sehr gerne, weil ich von meiner Stadtbücherei einfach eBooks ausleihen kann wie paperbacks. Mittlerweile gibt es aber auch dafür Lösungen, sie KORreader wieder DRM-fähig machen.

und spätestens seit ich KOReader draufgespielt habe, bin ich super happy. Ich komme um die großen Stores herum, habe vielfältige Formate und Einstellungsmöglichkeiten. Die Software läuft auch auf vielen Geräten anderer Hersteller. Gerade für alte Kindle ein game changer:

Tipp: gebrauchten Tolino zum Ausprobieren, ob es wirklich taugt für dich und was du anders haben möchtest. Ich bin mit dem kleinen Vision 6 sehr zufrieden, gerade fürs Pendeln im Zug. EInk ist eine tolle Technologie dafür und das einstellbar gelb bis weiße Hintergrundlicht macht Lesen sehr angenehm

I still feel the most disturbing aspect of this is how plainly open the valley states this. Like the desire to replace any democratic structures, ban unions, treat people as an exploitable resource, just to make money fast. I'm sure many of the slop machine evangelist do not believe their own claims
