Listen, man. I'm not saying things are great in this crumbling country. But you can't dismiss the fact that you didn't invent suffering under the idiocy of an administration. It's so incredibly narrow-minded to think you're the first person to have to survive that.

The dismissal of whole countries and continents living under colonial rule and totalitarianism is such a white privilege that it leaves me reeling.

I did end up finishing my cozy cowboy book, and I really loved it. @am-arthur.bsky.social knows how to write stories that aren't scrubbed clean to be acceptable queer but are still cozy as hell. Really appreciate how much more bearable it's made the last two weeks.
