Impressed by the quality of TheBrain — truly well made. But it’s more about diving deep step by step than getting a full overview. Not quite what I need. The map moves and hides too much. Maybe tweakable in settings?

I’ve started using Obsidian mainly on my PC. The stacked tab mode is pretty unique.

Compared to Notion, a few things stand out for me:
• Toggle headings on/off with #,
• built-in outline in the right sidebar,
• full-text search actually works. Unlike Notion, which only matches whole words.

On Mac Finder, view > show view options > alway open in column view is really nice. By the way, the web application I developed, THE BOOKMARK MANAGER, aims to bring this UI to mobile.

Tried using Obsidian with iCloud sync, but it’s still unstable for me. I’m sure the paid Sync service would be more reliable, but I hesitate to pay $5 just to test it. Maybe I’ll give it another shot in a few months.
