This week, the Bergen-Hamar Shakespeare Network's nineteenth conference is taking place in York, co-hosted with the Norwegian Study Centre. On day one, we enjoyed some great papers including Svenn-Arve Myklebost's on teaching comic-book adaptations and John Wilhelm Flattun's on time in Macbeth.

This week, the Bergen-Hamar Shakespeare Network's nineteenth conference is taking place in York, co-hosted with the Norwegian Study Centre. On day one, we enjoyed some great papers including Svenn-Arve Myklebost's on teaching comic-book adaptations and John Wilhelm Flattun's on time in Macbeth.
This month in the NSC, we achieved three Platinum Green Impact awards! Special congratulations to Beck Sinar, for winning the Sustainable Hero award, and our Project Assistant, Safi Hussain, for her phenomenal work in student leadership. Thank you for helping make the world a little greener🌳

The 17th of May is Norway's national day, and the NSC is celebrating! A free event, organised jointly with the York Anglo-Scandinavian Society, will be hosted at the Centre between 11.00 and 14.00 on Saturday the 17th. Drop in at Quantum House for crafts, parade-watching, and hot-dogs!

The Danish Association for Teachers of English's quarterly journal, Anglo Files, has a new issue out - with contributions from two members of NSC staff! We are lucky to host many Danish teachers in our short courses and are thrilled to assist in their continuing professional development.
