Tapas yesterday was filo wrapped Camembert on a bed of sautéed red peppers and leeks, creamy garlic mushrooms, chorizo in red wine and balsamic, and some battered prawns (yellow sticker bargain from Tesco). 🍽️🍜

So I ran a beginner’s D&D session for the village festival last night and 25 people showed up for a game!! Another DM volunteered to run a game but I still had 15 people at my table!!

Sunday prep kitchen, jointing a chicken and making a proper stock which firmed the bases for a Spanish tomato and pepper sauce, and a hot and umami packed Chinese chilli broth. 🍽️ 🍜

Tea was cumin spiced mutton belly, feta stuffed peppers, hummus, chilli sauce, pomegranate syrup.

Trimmed belly, rubbed with cumin and salt, 2 hours at 160c. Cooled, sliced, and reheated in the air fryer.

Peppers stuffed with feta, breadcrumbs (I used a lo carb wrap) cheddar and Parmesan. 🍽️ 🍜

Roasted belly pork with chilli hoisin veg stir fry. Slow roast pork, coated with salt and chilli seasoning, to render a lot of the fat. crackling low and slow at the same time. Sauce made with hoisin, rice vinegar, soy sauce, chilli sauce and dried chilli, sugar, chicken stock. #chinesefood 🍽️🍜

Let’s make…roasted tomato chilli chicken soup. An onion, 4 large tomatoes, a glug of white wine, chicken carcass, seasoning, chilli to taste. In the oven for about 90 minutes, blend the veg, I’ve added a little cream, season again if needed, dice the chicken. #goodfood 🍽️ 🍜
