Cobalt Core? Slay the Spire, but your deck is a combination of the 3 crewmembers you pick to pilot a spaceship. Great writing, great music, easier to learn but less deep than Slay the Spire. You can save and quit at any time. After the learning curve, full runs are <45 minutes.

- Crests were a missed opportunity. Only one has both a good down attack (100% necessary for how much pogoing plays into movement and combat) and also no weird restrictions.
- Grinding rosaries and shards was necessary but not enjoyable.

+ Really well put together game. No bugs^Wsoftware defects. Everything felt intentional.
+ Hornet's writing was great. Simultaneously extremely polite and a confident badass.
+ Runbacks weren't nearly as bad as other people have complained about. They're fun to optimize.

Back when I worked on Spellbreak, we at least talked about setting the default controls that way for Japanese players. I don't remember if we ever actually implemented that or not.

I think this is more of a cultural thing - most older (~2005 and before) Japanese games use inverted X-axis as the default. Japanese games also used the right face button (A on SNES, O on PS1) to confirm and the bottom face button (B on SNES, X on PS1) to cancel.

Can't tell if I should get ready for bed or get ready to dance in the street.

You know, I think I'm going to preemptively join you for that shot. Just in case. Cheers!
