It's not typically in my wheelhouse but I want to feel that sense of attachment that comes with a lengthy RPG with a party of named characters. The multiple protagonists aspect could be diving a bit into the deep end, but I have heard good things about Octopath 2

I actually don't have a game I'm super jazzed about that's coming out in 2026 soo it's all up in the air right now

It seems like it's suffering from Final Season Curse, where a lot of expectations need to be met to be considered satisfying, and it just does not have enough time to do all that

But… Short-form content, constant scrolling, and algorithm-driven feeds reward speed over depth. Writing becomes rushed, reactive, and stripped of nuance. Reading becomes skimming…headlines instead of arguments, captions instead of context.

I'm not nearly a roguelite aficionado, (but I do love the Hades series) and I feel like rarely, if ever, the upgrades a dev would put into a roguelite are "traps". Just something that would fit a different play style. That specific boon doesn't fit my style, but I'm sure it's HUGE for someone else
