Is this trip really necessary?
There's reasons they are deporting people to war zones, famine zones and brutal ElSalvdoran prisons.... And that's just what we know about.

They simultaneously want to dog-wag a war on Venezuela while simultaneously sending those that escaped back to Maduro's 'evil clutches' and notably bashings.

That happens to be what Christian Nationalist/Republican politics *are.* Fear, greed, lust for power, that's all that is.
December 5, 2025 at 12:59 AM
They also have a funny way of ddenying all knowledge of countries they want Trump intervening in. They should be considered unfit for office if they can't keep up with their fricking jobs.

Everything these Christofascist judges have pushed through against all dissent from everyone else will have to be voided.
December 5, 2025 at 12:55 AM
Through tacky vandalism and shoddy construction that bypassed inspectors and stuck regular people with the bill. The bribery wasn't even collected on it, the public will get stuck with the bill.
December 5, 2025 at 12:51 AM
Well, except kei cars aren't *really* what we need over here. We need like slightly-modernized '82 Corollas. :) (But kei trucks as street-legal UTV's would be awesome.)

Never mind that it's all based on taking Ukrainian mineral rights from an insane demand to be cut in on the surrender of a free European nation? Plus of course the drone market when they want to leave Europe on their own?
December 5, 2025 at 12:03 AM
That's why the Right is staging a stock-bubble and seizing energy infrastructure while they destroy renewables capacity for it, NBC. How long will you pretend to be that naive?
December 5, 2025 at 12:01 AM
By 'Good meeting' Trump means 'Proposed to give away what is neither Putin's nor Trumps but took better notes about Putin's orders?'
December 4, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Whoever that 'Council' is, they just made my shitlist.
December 4, 2025 at 11:54 PM
Umm, as opposed to just going to Tractor Supply like always?
December 4, 2025 at 11:52 PM
The only difference about striking the survivors is there is *zero* ambiguity about it being a crime and murder even if the thin claims of 'war' are accepted by some.
December 4, 2025 at 10:46 PM
I shudder to think what appointed position of power the perv would have, more like.
December 4, 2025 at 9:44 PM
Whatever it is I'd say 'low' is more accurate.
December 4, 2025 at 9:39 PM
Trump is a traitor and Putin puppet..
December 4, 2025 at 9:38 PM
Also what drugs? Fentanyl doesn't even come from there, never mind can those fast boats make it to the US, never mind would anyone think there was profit in running blockades over it.
December 4, 2025 at 9:35 PM
(Though that was a matter of intel not knowing there were foragers rather than deliberately targeting survivors at sea. They at least *thought* they were actually opposing combatants.)
December 4, 2025 at 9:34 PM
Since fentanyl doesn't actually come from there at least they're travelling light?
December 4, 2025 at 9:28 PM
And how were they supposed to 'continue the mission?' Fart their way to Mobile Alabama through a carrier group blockade?
December 4, 2025 at 9:27 PM
Though I gotta wonder how many of these Theocratic Transphobe Quislings For Trump actually even represent their community's priorities when they like to be in Minneapolis or other Blue cities for the same reasons the LGBT people they betrayed do.
December 4, 2025 at 8:56 PM
Worse than nothing, of course.
December 4, 2025 at 8:54 PM
Also more simply it sends messages to all the petty tyrants and dictators of the world that the US will not bring consequences.
December 4, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Also it didn't end any war. It was only noticed as the soldiers were going home, and all.
December 4, 2025 at 8:49 PM
I've noticed a sudden dropoff in a sense of musical continuity once you hit generations that could just pick songs online and radio went all playlist and took the people out of it....

She was more popular with the 'college radio' crowd than the hard-rock or early rap crowds, but she was my GF's favorite in the 80s, too. They didn't pull her out of nowhere for Stranger Things, people. Hel, she appeared in duets with Peter Gabriel like before 85 even, though I forget the year.
