If Labour really want to encourage growth, how about sorting out the mess that is our driving test booking system. How many parents/new drivers have had to face this at 6:00am every Monday morning? Imagine how much more productive people could become if they could actually get to work. #Labour

Remember the gig at The Roundhouse really well. It was the day after the attack on the Bataclan, the band had the tricolour on display on the screen. Then they played the album from behind a screen, with the feature film by Roger Sargent playing.

Here’s the problem with ticket stubs disappearing… from this day another gig. This time it was The Big Moon at the Union Chapel. What a venue and a fitting place to see The Big Moon. Up there with my favourite gigs. #bringbackticketstubs

Final one of the day is Oasis at Wembley Arena, 1997. Supergrass supported them for this gig. Their last gig in the UK for the Be Here Now tour. The ticket was £19, which inflation adjusted is £37 today, for an indoor gig… nowhere near £350 😉. Great stage setup for this tour.

I’m going to start this gig of the day with a “this was before Morrissey became a complete ….”, allowing you to fill in your blank. This one formed the album live at Earls Court. A friend of mine says “his divorce with Morrissey is worse than his actual divorce”

I have no tickets from this day, which means I can post about #bringbackticketstubs. On this day last year was @suedehq.bsky.social at the Electric Brixton. My memory for this was was fortunately jogged by a few photos I took. I just prefer the old ticket stubs myself.

Nice. Saw them a few times, including twice on the tour for “K”. I think the performances at the Brixton Academy were used for the video of their cover of Hush.

A final gig on this day, and another from The Libertines. This was from 2003 at the Kentish Town Forum. Support was Chas & Dave 😊. I think this may have been the night they filmed the video for Can’t Stand Me Now as well. #bringbackticketstubs
