Today in YFD History - August 13, 1947. Station 7's firefighters work to extinguish a 2 alarm fire shortly before 8am at the Deibel Building on W. Federal Street downtown. The fire was under control by 9:20am. Cause was an explosion when gas was being used to clean the Air Conditioning filters.

This great photo was for sale on eBay recently. It is a great snapshot of the Main Downtown Station in 1962. We were heavy on the Seagraves at the time.
