I understand why Plex wants me to pay for remote access away from my home network, that's reasonable, but when it's trying to charge me to watch something sitting on the same bloody hard drive it's time to give Jellyfin another look.

if nobody has made this joke in 20 years of microblogging social media and it took a 58 year old singer-songwriter to get us there well then we just have to remember that sometimes the Lord uplifts an imperfect messenger for His purposes, to wit, my excellent joke

The worst thing about the Budget (and/or any political event) is realising how ignorant and reactionary people are. I get that it's complex, but the speed at which people throw out opinions without any effort to understand even the basics is really depressing.

Those who know me well know that I am *very* bad at watching films. Those of you who know me less well might assume that I automatically don't like anything popular.

With that in mind, see if you can guess which popular eighties movie I've *finally* got round to watching, and think it's fantastic.

My own politics aside, I'm astonished that anyone still thinks Corbyn is the answer to anything.

Let him diminish, and go into the West (End), and remain a nuisance.
I ENTIRELY understand why a party way to the left of Labour needs to exist.

I have NO IDEA why it needs to be Your Party, other than ego.

The Greens are RIGHT THERE. Corbyn will be 78 at the next election. And it's a shambles. Give up, lads.

Oh look, the guy who was widely reported as being a real detective was a kid playing dress-up

Naz Reid has not been good this season, but there's a reason for that. And it has hurt us, sure, especially without Edwards.

But we're a team, right? I don't want to support a bunch of random dudes. I want a pack. I want to care about the people behind the damned badge.

A Corbyn project not being able to organise a piss-up in a brewery? I am *shocked*, I tell ya.

OK. Seeing how I have been drawn into this....

Dear American commentators: Not every part of the world is the same as the USA. Advising people in the UK to do things that would send them to prison is unethical and makes you look like an overinsulated idiot.

Isn't it funny how all those people who used to bang on about NFTs no longer band on about NFTs. I wonder why that is. Surely they couldn't have been wrong?

Maybe the guy from A7X wants to weigh in, he certainly had opinions a couple of years ago.

James is doing excellent work. You don't need to make stuff up for history to be damned interesting!
Haddon Hall are interpreting burn marks as apotropaic rather than accidents & the Trip to Jerusalem changed the website to reflect its real history! Pleased that the Mythbusting book is doing its job! Now, we just need Colchester Castle to stop with the spiral stairs myth...

If you’re one of those proud ‘patriots’ who put flags up at half-mast on the A453, your colours started to run at the first drop of rain.

Also flags shouldn’t need the name of the country emblazoned across them.

Happy Trafalgar Day!

I'm sure everyone's local patriot is making a big deal of this auspicious anniversary of a key event in our nation's story.

Surely.

Because they're all really up on history, right?

And really want to celebrate our culture…?

…right?

There's a lot of shit media talking about Prince Andrew being 'stripped' of his titles. This is what he would like you to believe. Instead, he is choosing not to use them.

I know a bunch of people have problems with the BBC, but they have at least reported on this accurately.

If we leave such alien concepts as 'hope' aside, surely no one can still imagine a political party that Corbyn is involved with could organise a piss-up in a brewery?

Also the news out of the US seems to be 'fascist shoots other fascist for not being fascist enough'.

So much for the tolerant right.

The far right aren't as hard as they think they are. More willing to be violent, sure, but most of them are as feeble in spirit as they are in mind.
