Statelessness in Kuwait – a real scandal – is a recurring nightmare that the government of Kuwait refuses to acknowledge, let alone solve. Stateless people, otherwise known as Bidoon, have been extremely mistreated and institutionally discriminated against for many, many years.

With a quality-of-life score of 174.19, Estonia is ranked 12th in its 2022 index. Also, Estonia does particularly well in the areas of safety, commuting and pollution.

For its size, Estonia is a leading European country in startups, unicorns and investments. In fact, Estonia has more startups per capita than Silicon Valley. Skype, Wise and Bolt are some of the unicorns produced in Estonia.

Estonia is one of the least religious countries in the world where less than a third of the population consider themselves as believers. Furthermore, Lutheranism is the most prevalent religion among Estonians. Today, many people regard Estonia to be one of the friendliest nations.

Born in 1963 in Mosul, Iraq, Talal al-Rasheed is a widely celebrated Nabati poet in the Arabian Peninsula. Talal was assassinated while on a camping trip near Djelfa in the desert of Algeria in 2003. His family ruled over parts that include modern-day Jordan, Iraq and mostly Saudi Arabia.

August 27, 1953 marks the day when Iranian monarchists led a successful coup to topple the government of the democratically elected PM Mohammad Mosaddegh. The coup was backed by America and Britain, to put an end to Mossadegh’s plans of nationalizing Iranian oil.
