We actually booked through a tour group, so transportation was provided and hotels were already booked. Dubrovnik is well worth seeing, as well as smaller towns on the Istrian Peninsular. The Plitvice Lakes National Park is a must.

There are several very narrow water falls falling into an emerald green lake. There are trees and shrubs overhanging the water and they are various shades of green and yellow.
