Is this envelope, sent from Dahlerau (Wupper) on August 8, 1946, addressed to Braunschweig? And is this Braunschweig the same place where one of the AM Post stamps were printed?

These two covers are the next ones I’d like to ask for your help with.
I couldn’t attach the JPEG files in the chat, so I’ll send them in a reply. I’ll send the messages in the chat.

Thanks so much! I'm excited to hear back from you.

If you're sending a long text, maybe we could use the Bluesky chat function (DMs)? I don't think there is a character limit.

My settings allow me to receive chats from users I follow.

I was hoping to ask you right away: can you decipher the sender and recipient of this postcard? I believe the sender is a former soldier writing a letter to his family.

The letter is dated August 5, 1945, and was canceled on August 6. Is the post office Itzehoe?

Thanks again for your kind offer!

Thank you so much!

I am very happy about your offer. These postcards are quite difficult to read as they are written in old German cursive script, which even Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality struggles with.

Back of the airmail postcards:
The back features an image from a 1930 postcard showing Portorož and the Palace Hotel, overprinted with the STT-VUJA (Trieste zone B) airmail stamp (25 dinars) issued in 1952.
