Oooo, time for a re-re-rewatch.

Is it super buggy? Trying to figure out whether I should wait a week or so before diving in.
February 14, 2026 at 1:32 PM
I did... for a while (a couple of years, more or less). I presumably will again... probably only for a while.

Also, we used raised beds because mountain soil ain't great, and it was easier to cover stuff. The dogs kept and some netting kept the rodents out (mostly).

Hnnngggh... my memory fails me, but one lot was some kind of cherry tomato and the other was a purplish heirloom. Not very helpful, sorry; it was some years ago. They drank a lot, unsurprisingly (the tomatoes too, hur hur).
February 12, 2026 at 7:33 AM
Nah, the timing is good for tomatoes... because first frost day is also rather sooner than you might think, so they have to get as much of a head start as they can. On the bright side, the toms we grew, 7000' and short growing season notwithstanding, were DELICIOUS.

As someone who's been waiting for 2+ weeks for a delivery that is clearly never going to happen, I get you.

I should add, it's nothing against those creators personally in most cases, but if their content is 90% that game, I won't be watching it. So diversifying, or just doing your own thing... less lucrative, presumably, but also maybe not a bad thing.
February 11, 2026 at 11:26 AM
Honestly, the way things are going in games these days *cough* EA *cough*, being fully dedicated to one or two games isn't necessarily a good thing for creators. There are quite a few creators I simply don't watch anymore because I don't care to support Sims 4 content, for example.

Just remember your Zones. The last frost day can be hella late in the East Mountains. In 2015 (I remember because it was the day we brought our Basenji rescue girls home from MO), it snowed at our house on May 15th.

The more it's explained, the more I want to cover my ears and sing "lalalalalalala!" very loudly. 🙉

I do not know and from everything I've seen, I am living in bliss and should keep it that way.
February 10, 2026 at 4:15 PM
What is this "sleep" they speak of?
February 10, 2026 at 10:19 AM
I should rephrase -- it's been an easy pattern for *me* to follow and mod. So many patterns others find very straightforward I struggle really hard with, and I suuuuck at reading charts (which some find much clearer). Brains are weird. 🤷‍♀️

I'm picky about that stuff too, but for cold-wear I like a closer neckline. I didn't go down needle sizes for the cuffs/hem/neck because I hate it when they're tight, heh, and I didn't do a full turtleneck (same reason). Oh and I did a longer split hem on the bottom. It's an easy pattern to mod.
February 10, 2026 at 8:09 AM
It's not actually a dropped neckline (well, it could be if you don't work it), that was just a WIP photo and I haven't yet taken one of the finished item 👀😬

The dominant colour is a lot more purple than in the pic, but indoor lighting at night on my old phone was the best I could do at the time 😆

The sweater is so comfy and the pattern so easy that I immediately started another one with different yarn. 🧶

Yes, my gateway novels were the Clockwork books.
