I'm generally in favor of only tagging the ship that comes across "well" in the story. It's frustrating for shippers when they only end up seeing stories where their pair doesn't fare well. I just don't understand why creators do it, to annoy ships or to generate more reach?

Yes. Unfortunately, Lilith has to deal with a lot of hate... (But I don't think there's a one-sided Lu/lilith tag) I think the reason that happened with Vox is that m/m ships are more popular; Vox was the only potential threat to other Al-shippers at the time bc of the canonical references.

The difference lies in how it's written. When RS fans do it, it's about them. But when you look at the work of other shippers, Vox is mostly the evil ex who abused Alastor, and who's only used so Alastor can find comfort elsewhere.

Yes, I believed that back then too. But then I did some research... but many RS fans have now taken the liberty of creating a ship name for every dynamic, so that the "original" reason has lost its meaning. And the fact that RS has simply become semi-canon 😂

As soon as I see "Radios!lence," I immediately check if other pairs are added. If so, I don't even read it. I hate that this tag is only used to devalue Vox. Every one-sided ship with Alastor should be "radios!lence" 😭
