Neither Venezuela nor Cuba is heading towards democracy. Marco seeks a vendetta because his wealthy family rejects the revolution that helped the working class. Cuba & Venezuela's relationship has been a sore point: Venezuela supplies oil, and Cuba provides skilled medical professionals.
