I have only heard the occasional piece of the soundtrack so I'm not gonna judge it all, though yeah "orchestral score" is geoffslop in a way lol
all in all, confusing decisions being made. even elden ring didn't sweep despite being GOTY so "GotY has to sweep all its awards" can't be a norm

this year was an absolutely phenomenal year for gaming but if you were to just look at awards you'd think it was a shit year with one singular stand out WHEN IT WASN'T!!!!!!!!

like several of its awards were unearned (best indie, best indie debut, best art direction - how do you win best art direction when you look like any other fucking unreal engine 5 game?) and to see it be lambbasted as the great white hope of jrpgs genuinely disgusts me
