Trying to decide on a great Canadian vacation? Drive the Dempster highway! Starting in Yukon Territory and ending at the Arctic Ocean in the Northwest Territories, this road isn’t for the faint of heart. Mud, rocks, potholes and more await you - but the scenery makes it all worthwhile.

Today’s great Canadian destination is Stanley Park, adjacent to the downtown core of Vancouver, BC. While walking the Seawall on Saturday we spotted a pair of Biggs orcas (probably following the sea mammals preying on the herring run), and nesting Great Blue Herons. A wonderful day!
