Three quotations from participants in Z2K's temporary accommodation project:

"It's a project for hope to really keep pushing for the society we want to live in."
"It's helped in taking away the stigma for me."
"It was a privilege to be part of every step."

Improving access to mental health support is vital.

But returning to the same old failed approach of limiting eligibility for benefits is not the solution to economic inactivity.

We need reform - not more cuts.

More and more MPs are calling for the two-child limit to be scrapped.

It will only pull more and more children into poverty unless the government acts.

Time to bin this cruel policy. 🗑️

It’s good to see the government improving employment support for ill and disabled people.

This support should remain voluntary. Exposing seriously ill and disabled people to the threat of punitive sanctions would risk deepening distrust and discouraging engagement.

In the Commons this afternoon, Liz Kendall reiterated the government's commitment to tackling child poverty.

Half measures won’t be enough to help struggling families put food on the table.

Scrap the cruel two-child limit – no ifs, no buts.

Upcoming changes to disability benefits could put over 600,000 disabled people at risk of losing vital support.

The Timms Review could be an opportunity for the government to rebuild trust with disabled people.

Working with @turn2us.org.uk and 16 other leading charities, we are today launching an open letter calling for the government to ensure the Review is meaningfully co-produced.

One in two disabled people receiving universal credit say they’ve been given unreasonable work search requirements by the jobcentre.

We spoke to The Big Issue about benefit sanctions and inappropriate conditionality.

DWP penalises universal credit claimant despite getting new job
The DWP say sanctions incentivise people into work. Experts say they do the opposite – pushing vulnerable people deeper into crisis.

Nearly half of all universal credit claimants face average deductions of £67/month, new DWP stats show.

Deductions plunge people even deeper into poverty. People who can’t afford the essentials need urgent support.

The two-child limit will only pull more and more children into poverty unless the government takes action.

Struggling families need support. This failed policy must be scrapped.

We're calling on the government to clarify planned protections for people with the most severe conditions.

It was good to hear Stephen Timms say that the DWP will be ‘taking a lead’ from disabled people on the Timms Review.

But it’s vital that the government gets this right. We need clear safeguards to rebuild trust and ensure meaningful co-production.
