Full #moon rise huge tonight! Whipped out my SLR and then post-processed two exposures into this one.

Ground's frozen, but little snow.

Got my 4yo OnePlus 8T back, free £215 screen repair. Takes way nicer photos, but used to bigger screen, hmm.

I threw together a year in review life recap for old Facebook friends & family: zerogravitashealth.blogspot.com/2025/12/my-2...

Many of you will have already seen me post much of this over the last year or my improvements, struggles and DailyNaturePics.

- That household that gets a little carried away...
- And the first house on a road to light up, back in November.

Anyway, I hope everyone is hanging in for an OK holiday period.

Christmas special #MEcfsEgress DailyNaturePics 234!
- Some of the most festively decorated front gardens in the area.
- Florists' chrysanthemums, I've been saving for a special occasion, since October. Cream coloured to complement previous lilac and yellow.

Most interesting sci-tech YT vid in a while: Hank interviews Virginia Postrel on the history of textiles (and cordage).
- Reframes civilisational developement: textiles necessitated agriculture more than food.
- Viking boat build limited by sails.
- Many idioms/words.

Testing the lacklustre camera in my new/stand-in phone (cheaper optics, ugly post-processing with limited options). Only usable screen of 5 bought & tried.
- #SkySaturday, bike today
- Skimmia, again but wet
- Long leafed back garden plant

#TreeTuesday! Just barely!:
- This big old oak by the main road, eerily deserted for a moment on a Sunday bike ride, in November.
- The crinkly leaf carpet, below.
- Looking out from inside the tree tunnel (left of first pic).

Abelia grandifolia (Vesalea grandifolia) blooms were still looking good quite recently:
- Down the hill, late November. Same plant, early September: bsky.app/profile/z3r0...
- Across the main road.

Always cool seeing big general science YouTube channels cover our chronic illnesses.

Perhaps sad that them just calling the scale of the problem right is a thrill...

But Anton Petrov actually informed me on NETs -> microclots, from a #TeamClots study, earlier this year.

Winter blooming evergreen shrubs I thought heather. PlantNet disagrees, apparently there's a subtle difference..:
- Cornish heath (Erica vagans), end of Nov short walk.
- Heath (Erica carnea), from this Wednesday's SLR jaunt.

- Wednesday's SLR ride turned into a clear #SkySaturday moon shoot, floating atop this tree.
- After wisely declining this sunny but overgrown and muddy footpath out into countryside.
- Tree-fingers reaching up, "No Cycling" down here though.

#FruitFriday - from the last few days:
- Epigynous berries ('false fruit') of our Fuchsia plant.
- Yellow crab apples reminiscent of seasonal baubles.
- Stag's-horn Sumac tree's weird 'drupe'.

#ThrowbackThursday - "May to December", as they say (and an old British sitcom)...

Well technically late April to Nov here. Almost my full DNP run... Same street, blossoms to bare.

I didn't quite complete this series, looking up into its branches as it's leaves yellowed...

Interestingly, in two phases, starting with the inner ones. Rewinding here, back to this May vid of it (on the right) shaking its stuff: bsky.app/profile/z3r0...

#TreeTuesday - a silly sentimental one for our Salix (Puzzle Willow?) tree which got pollarded last Friday (should be OK, heh)...

It's been my shade & shelter, out back, for years. Rarely drooping surprises as I bloomscroll posted on laptop (after dusk).

Miserable Monday outside! But inside we have:
- Hyacinth bulbs mum planted, busting out almost perceptibly!
- Supermarket flowers (Chrysanthemums?).
- Pachyphytum/Graptopetalum succulent babies, hanging in since: x.com/Z3R0Gravitas...

I'm curious for your unfiltered thoughts on me posting this kind of AI composite (having not done this before)?

Gemini Nano Banana looks to have been pixel perfect and seamless, combining two different exposure phone pics of the same view. Result is impressive but unreal.

#SkySunday (previously known as 'SkySaturday', shh!):
- To-be-developed housing estate land doing an impression of the Everglades.
- The sky fell down to earth, last week; low thick mist with stars above.
