Well, after this day, a Star Trek timeline cleanse is DEFINITELY NEEDED. Below, a kitbash SNW Phase II connie, shown in SpaceEngine.

Star Trek timeline cleanse (AKA an excuse for me to post pretty starship pics). Below, the USS Zhukov, as seen in the incredible Star Trek Armada IV mod (now in early Alpha) for Sins of the Solar Empire II.

The Pop-Tart bowl is glorious, stupid fun. Exactly what college football should be in bowl season.

Star Trek picture cleanse. The wonderful Phase II model done by Michael Wiley, with some custom textures done by myself. Picture taken in SpaceEngine. Unsure who made the Klingon model.

Hot take: Brownies with frosting are just cake. Brownies and ice cream? Perfect.

Word on the other place is that Elon wants to be pregnant (seriously). To that I say: he spends a lot of time in Texas and Florida. Those are bad places to be pregnant, but if he wants to go for it ... well, good luck.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a gaming masterpiece that will stand the test of time in a way that may approach Skyrim. It's just so crazy interactive, so willing to let you do things that you don't think will possibly work ... yet it does. The mods add new layers to a game I will never tire of playing.

Star Trek shower thought: the difference between an alternate timeline and an alternate universe/reality is that the universe/reality can sustain itself. The alternate timeline (like the one depicted in "City on the Edge of Forever") can't -- it has to overwrite the "prime" timeline to survive.

Question for the Star Trek fans out there: do you believe that the Vulcan/Romulan connection, revealed in Balance of Terror, was that big a deal? Seems like no one really cares outside this episode, even in the TOS/TNG/NuTrek movies.

Thanksgiving hot take: Turkey is inferior to virtually any other animal-based main course (ham, lamb, etc).

I don't understand why people play on the hardest difficulty in sports games. Madden, CFB, NBA2k ... the CPU cheats like an SOB. It's designed to frustrate the user and people willingly do it to themselves. That doesn't seem fun to me and sure doesn't look fun when users rage.

Well, the layoffs have begun in my company -- I avoided the axe. Six of my teammates did not and they (nor we) were given any heads up about it, so we couldn't exchange any contact info. They were just gone and it sucks -- they didn't deserve it.

A grim harbinger of the future I fear.

First time here, I've migrated away from the cesspool formerly known as Twitter. This place is nice -- looks very familiar. I hope it thrives.
