Anklyosaurus is the best dinosaur.

No need to follow me, I'm not a follow backer.
That's one hell of an album cover. From the 1968 album, Underground, by Thelonius Monk. #musicsky #jazz

Not All Bastards Are From Vienna, a book about an italian family that has their home occupied by various armies during World War 1. It's a story about learning to live with an oppressive force while refusing to submit. A slow burn read. #booksky #worldwar1

If you're a fan of @dancarlin.bsky.social (and I don't know why you wouldn't be), his book The End is Always Near will cover familiar topics as it revisits his past HH topics.

If you're unfamiliar with him, then this is a great starting off point. #dancarlin #booksky #theendisnear

If you ever want to feel unproductive, read about a founding father. What an amazing life. I'm glad I was able to finish this before the fourth of July. Great book. #benjaminfranklin #booksky #walterisaacson

So irritating. This person wrote every thought she had. It's like talking during a movie.

Sharing this again for June. It's a great read. If you're looking for a book about a literary figure, or a book about a World War 2 soldier, or a book about a gay man in the mid 20th century, this book is about all 3. #pridemonth #booksky

There is a copy at half price books in Hamilton, OH.

Their mailing takes forever too, but maybe someone can pick it up and mail it if they live in the area.

Great book. Very quick read. VERY different from the movie. I enjoyed the philosophical discussions in it, especially from the sole point of view of the main character, his development from a civilian living in a militaristic society to being an active part of it. #booksky #starshiptroopers

Finally finished Crime and Punishment. I enjoyed it, but it was a slog to get through at times. Given that it's 160 years old, translated, and from another country, difficulties should be expected, but I can see why it stood the test of time. #booksky #crimeandpunishment #dostoyevsky

What I like most about this used bookstore in Washington, D.C. are the little notes they have placed everywhere. #bookskye #washingtondc #capitolhillbooks

Celebrated Indie bookstore day by going to this spot. Anyone know where this is? #booksky #independantbookstoreday

Great biography of Napoleon. There were a lot of similarities from when he seized power and what's happening now in our government. I wouldn't be surprised if Project 2025 took lessons from how he became emperor. Highly recommend this book by Alan Forrest. #booksky #napoleon

One reason it took me a bit to get into this book was all the notes. The previous owner wrote her thoughts on every page. Every. Thought.

Took a while to learn to ignore it.

An amazing recount of a horrible time. It's incredible that it took a mini series show on HBO to push this back into the spotlight. Highly recommend that everyone read this book. #booksky #tulsa

Interesting book on the history and importance of checklists, and how it changed numerous industries, including medicine, aviation, military, and construction. Quick and easy read. #booksky
