No project is too uninteresting to be initiated.
No interest is too random to be pursued.
No task is too important to be left unfinished —due to the above random interesting uninteresting projects.

I work in film/tv, where I start and finish things.
Dammit am I going to get one of these alerts from every WEA system, whatever that is. Can y’all just prank call each other within your office and call it a day?

Fellow filmmakers, it is our civic responsibility to add more violence to our creations. I don't make the rules.

A “New York” interview with Aaron Parnas included this sentence which is an astonishingly weird detail. How young were these siblings that they managed to not at least have schoolmates taunt them about their Dad being imprisoned for 20 months. It’s like something from a sitcom.

You joke, but the night before a class camping trip I wrote a couple of related python scripts. I used them to add all parents to my phone's contacts along with metadata listing their spouse, children, and a bunch of information gathered via the google API and summarized using GPT 3.5.

Just passing along more Verner Panton in case it brings joy. I love his work. The production Design of the show “Loki” references Panton a lot.

You're not crazy. There *are* weird artifacts in yesterday's "President Trump Delivers Remarks on Charlie Kirk" video.

I've demonstrated what I think happened by chopping out a phrase and stitching the clip back together using Avid Media Composer's "FluidMorph" transition. The result is at the end.

The propaganda is also laid on thick on the left! At my dentists’ office, patients are subjected to reading material like McSweeney’s, The Onion, architectural photography and design books, a Commodore 64 zine (freeze64), and a Ms. Pac Man cocktail table.

I am absolutely not ready to respond to a Trump posting with any version of this.

A bunch of the generative imaging models are putting out readable text these days, and the less refined gibberish produced on-iPhone by Apple’s “Playground” app is making me nostalgic for stuff that almost looks like it says something.

According to Apple’s generative imagery playground, this is a ‘Coffee Mug featuring the text:

“congestion pricing opponent tears”’

You’re welcome.

Now I know why George Lucas thought Lynch would be the natural choice to direct Return of the Jedi.

@romanmars.bsky.social I was just staying in a section of Oakland that is practically Berkeley, and it featured a utility cover with an interesting spelling. This seemed like a question that would be answered in a 99pi episode. Was this done for a reason? Is it an error? Are there thousands of this?

Thanks to those who pointed out the location of this "require alt text" setting. It just popped up a field to make sure I added alt text to this very post's image, yay. No more forgetting and leaving people out of the conversation.
