SNAP benefits are about to run out for 3.5M Texans—including 1.7M kids. Greg Abbott has the money in our Rainy Day Fund to stop kids from going without food.

It is his moral responsibility to announce the state will cover these benefits. No child should go hungry because of Abbott's failure to act.

Thank you @jamestalarico.bsky.social for endorsing my campaign for governor. After working together in the Texas House to call out Greg Abbott’s voucher scam, James knows how hard I’m willing to fight for working families.

I’m running for governor.

For over a decade, Greg Abbott has made it easier for billionaires to profit while hardworking Texans struggle to afford groceries, housing, and healthcare.

But together, we can make Texas work for Texans again.

I just walked onto the House Floor to vote AGAINST HB 8, which triples STAAR testing for our kids in neighborhood public schools.

Students don’t want this. Parents don’t want this. Only the vendors who make $$ off the tests want this.

I’m proud to vote no.

Elia, a Texas student, bravely testified last week about how the STAAR test degrades the quality of her education.

Now Greg Abbott wants to TRIPLE the number of state-created & mandated tests our kids take.

Call your House Member & tell them to vote NO on HB 8.

Texas GOP locks the doors to push through redistricting:

TX State Rep. Hinojosa: “Is there still a call on the House that compels attendance and restricts our freedom?”

Speaker Burrows: “Yes, until House Bill 4 passes.”

Texas Democrats know they don't have the votes to stop Trump and Abbott, but they have a story they want us to hear. Rep. Gina Hinojosa: “The only way that we have any hope of getting out of this is if every freedom-loving American does everything in their power to push back.” tinyurl.com/xtjzav7r
The Texas Democrats’ Remote Resistance
After leaving the state to block the G.O.P. from redrawing the state’s congressional maps, Democratic lawmakers are keeping the pressure on from afar.

Right now, Texas Republicans are shoving through redistricting maps BEFORE VOTING ON A SINGLE BILL to address the deadly flooding in Texas's Hill Country.

I tried to help them set their priorities straight and choose flood victims over political games.

They chose politics.

Today, Ken Paxton announced he will try to remove me from office.

This is disrespectful to my constituents, who have asked me to fight for them with every tool available to me, including breaking quorum.

I will continue to fight for what is right. I’m not backing down.

Dustin Burrows & Greg Abbott want to give $1 billion to wealthy families who already send their kids to private school.

The Texas House budget does more harm than good. It underfunds our neighborhood schools—and the voucher scam creates a permanent hole in our school budgets.

Texas is wasting BILLIONS of dollars on growing bureaucracy & vendor contracts while our teachers work second jobs just to feed their families.

Real Texans support public schools.

Our neighborhood #txed schools are the only schools that are a right for 5.5 million kids—so shouldn’t we fully fund them and make them the best choice?

Texas fought for a PUBLIC system of education. That’s the fight today. #txlege

🚨 Happening now.

Senate Bill 2 will take $1 BILLION from #txed neighborhood schools for taxpayer-funded vouchers, driven by Gov. Abbott & his out of state, billionaire, donor Jeff Yass.

Follow the $—it's about profits. Tell your legislators NO on vouchers.
