I think in general retail (and fast food) has gotten a lot more hostile in the new millennium. IMO, most stores don’t want you to be there any longer than your transaction. Which is just kind of grim when you think about it.

She was in the hospital for a few days then inpatient and is now in a partial hospitalization program. She took something like 30 pills (she won’t give a straight answer, but we found empty blister packs) and it was ruled a suicide attempt by the hospital.
