Yeah agreed. Kept looking for something deeper and I either didn’t know where to look or it’s just not there. And even if it’s not “elevated horror” I just didn’t find it very entertaining normal horror, with a surprising lack of human drama given the circumstances.

Giannis??

Listened to Rollins postgame and he even said he would have preferred a timeout. I know Doc is a “players coach” but I gotta wonder how making clearly bad coaching decisions weighs on the players morale and belief in the team.

Truly bizarre. Clearly the play broke down early, what advantage are you pushing at that point?

Why do I feel like this is the preface to some really bad news?

Wow, barely 100 backers for a very reasonably priced, 100% human-made indie project with a great review from Dan Thurot! Hope it makes its funding goal.

Can't wait to check it out! Congrats!

This is an absurd take but Rebirth is still fantastic.

The problem with Hereditary is once you've seen it you're constantly chasing the next best thing and can never seem to find it.

Probably because it's tentatively scheduled for "Q2 2026 and beyond," which means we'll be lucky if it releases by the end of 2026. But I do think it looks sick and look forward to playing it upon release.

Been on a massive Knizia kick lately. SILOS, ORBIT, Mille Fiori Iliad, Ichor - love them all. Making my way through a Frosthaven campaign. And had a fantastic two-session "campaign" of Fall of Magic. I've fallen for GMless RPGs, though they're more demanding than even the heaviest board games IMO.

I saw someone's all-in version of Nature come in and the size of the box just seemed absurd for the type of game it is. Have you played the expansions? Feels like all the modules might be more trouble than they're worth but I hope I'm wrong!

Is it strange having this and Arcs release somewhat closely to each other? The fantasy all-timer to Arcs sci-fi?

Lastly, a bonus coyote I managed to snap on the drive over!

An assortment of other cute birbs.

Lots of red-winged blackbirds (females are brown streaked)!

Agreed 100%. Watching his response to the question about doc, the main takeaway I got was he had nothing good to say about his coaching at all.

I actually took this as him trying to sound nice without actually praising him as a coach. If you watch the video it's mostly him just talking about him as a person, and saying he also likes him as a coach at the very end. Giannis is never gonna disparage his coach in public.

I can feel your kind nature pushing against your drive for good criticism here. It seems like, point blank, you wanted to say Bitewing did a really horrible job retheming this game. Like a new 4K re-release that relies only on AI upscaling, the movie is still good... but, really? Great review!

It was recently added rally-the-troops.com for a potentially easier way to play that second game! If you're not familiar with the site it's fantastic.
