"Would you look at that, I can hold you in the air ontop of a single paw." She said teasingly up to the tiny dog clinging to her paw as she extended her leg above him.

Riding on the subway you see a cute dog girl wearing nothing but a bikini and fanny pack. You can't help but notice, that her body is an invisible swarm of nanobots in a suspension of autonomous warp drive maintenance gel.

What do you do?

A see through blue dog girl riding on the subway. She's wearing an orange bikini and a fanny pack.

Kassy has primed us to swoon at sheepies.
Shear madness, I know.
zakuratech.bsky.social
Yep. Same with answering the phone. If you're legit or its urgent you'll leave a message and contact details that you can't retract later if I need to reference them.
zakuratech.bsky.social
yeah - I just disregard those calls and check the offical site rather than click any link because those are also a spoofer thing too.

I especially love when I am contacted about services or things I don't have at all which is a trip to listen to.
zakuratech.bsky.social
also is preys on peoples inability or unwillingness to be rude to folks.

I remember that MeatCanyon video where at a ren faire he gets approached by a raving madman and no one intervenes as he tries to get out of the conversation for like, an hour.

Imagine that but in DMs and you have this.
zakuratech.bsky.social
It rather sucks because alot of the time in industry you are instructed to cold call places and make offers and I have always found the process frustrating and stupid.

So it makes sense someone is trying to apply the same playbook and also strong indicator its an outsider / inexperienced.
zakuratech.bsky.social
Heres the furry commission process:

a) Someone reposts or boosts your content or your YCH on social media or a chat group
b) Potential client goes "Damn thats cool," or "Thats hot af,"
c) They ask for your contact info.
d) -They- contact -you-
e) You discuss the idea
f) moni
g) art occurs
zakuratech.bsky.social
If you are, in-fact, a starving artist wanting to reach out and get more traction understand that cold-calls will be perceived as scams.

Market yourself publically.
Ask past clients to please post the work you did and promote you.
Also POST your work and link to the clients.
zakuratech.bsky.social
This is not intended to discourage people reaching out.
Just be aware of your approach.

If you look real and act real then you will be perceived differently from someone with no-icon, made-the-account-2-months-ago, faved and posted nothing relevant to the person you are reaching out too.

Protip to folks old and new;

If you get random DMs from a random person expressing admiration for one of your character randomly and they suddenly propose work and want to talk off site then its a tectonic red flag that person is a scammer or at least not doing business properly.
zakuratech.bsky.social
Nah you didn't check these boxes the same way that these redflags show up.

"Hi hello I am a big fan of your stuff - can we talk more about things we like?" is perfectly valid and awesomely direct way to start a convo.

You also had already liked and faved things that supported your interest.
zakuratech.bsky.social
I really really hate sharing logs and consider it a violation of privacy but I am sorely tempted to show the notes and discord conversation I just had because it follows this pattern to a T.
zakuratech.bsky.social
SO MANY - its always a "oh I imagine your character in a lovely XYZ ! It would be so nice!" thing and I'm like -

This is a bitch who eats people and steps on things. Did you just pick a character that looks easy to duplicate?
zakuratech.bsky.social
4) If you ask for TOS, past commissions or any image examples will be discontinuous style wise; usually blatantly stolen from other galleries you can reverse image search, if they aren't 100% AI.

5) If you call them out they will deny it but still beg for a commission because they need it.
zakuratech.bsky.social
3) Instead of conducting the commission on the same site they will suddenly pivot to using another if that site doesn't allow file sharing.
[This is to obfuscate things like FA's inability to act on Off-Site activities]
zakuratech.bsky.social
Its happened a few times on FA and here as well following this playbook.

1) Person who only recently made an account suddenly follows.
2) Despite no evidence on their account they like any of your other content they message expressing interest. They may even propose a scene idea in vague terms.

Big mood on the prey/ micro crush.

The whole vibe is they are acting out of the norm and that's hot af. But I know thst reversal ain't everyone's tea.
